Highly recommend Ivan. I have zero understanding of building and construction. Ivan very patiently responded to my queries and explained the stuff in layman terms. The team at First Step Building Inspectors made sure I was confident with the purchase of my first home. They spent the time to explain all the defects in person and even assisted with estimating the cost of repairs.

Cannot recommend Ivan and his team highly enough! I engaged the team at First Step Building Group early during my new home build to review the building contracts. Ivan set up a consultation online to discuss some of my concerns and explain some of the contract terms that I wasn't aware of. He explained the special conditions and I was shocked at some of the things I had completely overlooked.
Lucky I got on top of this early as the team reviewed the drawings and I was able to make some changes before the permit was approved. He saved me some additional costs which I can now redirect to more expensive tap ware and lighting.

Fantastic experience so far! Done contract stage and now just got the slab down. Ivan has been always there when I need him.
The problems I went though from the levels not being right on the block to builder trying to get extra money out of me for site cost.
Ivan got it all fixed and addressed all concerns.
Ivan gave me the right information to send me I the right direction.
Ivan was on time to get to the inspections. I am at the slab stage.
Also to note that when Ivan was there for pre slab stage, the builders inspector came to site and just complained about paperwork. The builder's inspector didn’t even look at the property.

Another reason I was glad to have Ivan in my corner and he notified me by phone about what happened on site.

My Building 101 are very professional and their reports are very precise with a lot of attention to details .The reports are very explicit easy to understand and they give good advice on how to proceed with the builder after getting the reports. I submitted the reports to my building Supervisor and everything was rectified straightaway.I highly recommend My Building 101 to anyone looking at building a house.
